OVERVIEW

Bill Victor received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brown University in Providence Rhode Island in 1962 and received his Law Degree from Brooklyn Law School in New York in 1965. Between his undergraduate and Law School studies he taught developmental reading at a catholic girls’ high school in Bronx County, taught religious school during winter weekends and participated in an executive training program at Irving Trust Company at One Wall Street, New York and served as a certified seaman on seagoing oil tankers for a major US oil company for a period prior to that.

After graduating from law school, Bill joined the prestigious law firm of Pennie, Edmonds, Morton Taylor and Adams on Madison Avenue in New York City primarily representing numerous Fortune 500 and multi-national corporations in the field of intellectual property, trade secrets, copyright, packaging in addition to numerous writers, artists, inventors and others.

Bill subsequently joined a well recognized Wall Street law Firm representing a number of the same corporations some of whom chose to continue his services at the new firm, primarily in the fields of intellectual property, customs, state and local tax matters for large corporations such as and including J.C. Penney and thereafter with international manufacturers of consumer products, and the canning industry.

Bill was later recruited by the then second largest Corporation in Hawaii, Castle & Cooke, the world wide owner of among other enterprises: Dole, Bumble Bee, Standard Fruit and Steamship, Value Giant Stores, Shady Oak Mushrooms, resort properties in Hawaii, throughout the U.S. and elsewhere- Bill was responsible for often complex union day to day issues, including longshore union matters, this corporation’s vast global litigation and settlement matters, problem resolution and involved in the purchase and sale of tuna Vessels, the recovery of shrimp boats stolen  in South  America,  land purchases, leases of pineapple, fruit , banana and resort properties and contracts and litigation throughout the U.S., Canada, Benelux,  Central and South America, the Pacific Rim and wherever else needed by the parent corporation , its subsidiaries and affiliates.

In 1976 Mr. Victor became a member of the California Bar and practiced in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Paris   while involved in representing a number of U.S. and Italian Boat Manufacturers, a prestigious international auction enterprise and was already representing a U.S. distributor for a famous Italian Wine company, in addition to the sole US Sony distributor, along with restaurants and eating establishments in NY and CA, represented a freight car manufacturer and its foundries and worked with government  agencies including  in the U.S. (and internationally ) Customs, tax authorities,  and Osha regarding safety and compliance issues to name a few.
